• Printing equipment
• Ceramics studio
• Creative Graphics Suite including Photoshop packages

These diverse spaces and dedicated specialist teachers give the pupils the resources they need for their talents to develop. Pottery, fine art, computer aided design, photography, woodworking and textiles are part of the curriculum for Years 7, 8 and 9 and give each pupil two hours a week in creative classes. From GCSE, pupils are encouraged to explore a wide range of media and develop their own personal specialisms. Pupils are encouraged and supported to work independently on challenging projects with diverse and contemporary outcomes. The broad curriculum develops creative artists that go on to university courses including Animation, Fine Art, Fashion and Textile Design and Product Design.

Counselling Support

Leweston has a school counsellor and an independent listener as well as a qualified Mental Health First-Aider who works in the Prep.

Our fully trained school counsellor holds a walk-in clinic in the Health Centre once a week and is also available for pre-booked 1:1 appointments. An Independent Listener is also available if students would like to talk to someone outside the school community.

We have a fully qualified ‘Mental Health First Aider’ in the Prep School, and all staff members have been trained to identify the signs and symptoms of mental health concerns as well as how to help. Our Mental Health First Aider offers weekly appointments to those who need additional support, and coaches staff working with specific pupils.

We also have a family councillor who is available to come into school and work with families in need of support.
