British Boarding School (Secondary Schools for Boys and Girls)
Short Stay Programme for International Students
Badminton School (for Girls)
We welcome ‘short stay’ international pupils throughout the year. These visits are anywhere from half a term to two terms in length and provide the opportunity for pupils to experience boarding, join in with lessons and take part in a wide range of clubs, activities, trips and visits.
The pupils join lessons as part of the normal school timetable, working with their other students in their class. It is therefore a great way to improve their English. As well as the normal timetable of lessons, families can elect to access the specialist English as Additional Language Department and a programme of English Language lessons can be organised if required.
Pupils live in one of the four boarding houses, which provide a warm welcome for those away from. The strong family feel across the whole school means that many short stay pupils return year after year and form strong relationships with the other students in their years.
Half a Term: Short Stay Programme
This programme is tailored to ensure girls maximize the benefits of attending lessons and improving their English whilst also being introduced to boarding at Badminton.
One Full Term: Short Stay Programme
One full term (approximately three months) at Badminton allows short stay girls to enjoy the rich tapestry of opportunities that each term brings. No two terms are the same at Badminton with different events and experiences to embrace.
Full Academic Year (Years 7 - 11): Short Stay Programme
A full academic year at Badminton allows short stay students to fully immerse themselves into academic and boarding life. Whilst the core programme is detailed below, girls will have a chance to enjoy the diversity that each term brings and form lasting friendships with girls from across the globe.
