An all-girls environment with ample opportunity to interact with boys (from shared bus routes to formals); and girls excelling in STEM subjects. The latter is driven by Head Caroline Jordan, an Oxford Earth Sciences graduate and physics teacher, whose enthusiasm is infectious: one alumna taught by her is now an F1 McLaren engineer. That’s not to say these pupils aren’t artistic. Last year’s foray into Brechtian theatre with The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui was hugely impressive, as was the visit from Ai-Da, the world’s first ultra-realistic AI artist. From September 2021, pupils will be painting, sculpting and designing in ‘The Hive’ Creativity and Innovation Centre.
