An excellent all-round education is the hallmark of Aldenham and an extensive games and activities programme enables every pupil to have the chance to pursue almost any existing interest or to discover something new and challenging in sport, music, drama and a wide range of extracurricular activities.
Sport
Football, hockey, netball, cricket, tennis and athletics teams are highly successful. A wide range of sports from sailing to skiing is available supported both by superb modern facilities, including a sports hall and artificial turf pitch, and superior professional coaching.
Music and drama
Strong music and drama departments create challenging productions with an extensive number of concerts and plays throughout the year, both inside and outside of school
Admission for international students
The boarding school ethos with a commitment to a full programme and boarding house system ensures high priority is placed on pastoral care, to ensure pupils flourish and realise their academic and personal potential.
Each year a number of international students join us from a host of countries including Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, China, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan. Currently 8% of our pupils are from overseas.
Specialist EAL teachers are available for students providing one-to-one tuition. Sessions are also available for preparation for IELTS which includes language skills, subject specific learning and cultural awareness.
