English as an Additional Language

 

We offer English language lessons for all pupils during their stay

as part of the overall cost. This will include weekly lessons

as follows:

 

  • 40 minutes of one to one bespoke English tuition as well as

         20 minutes of conversational practice in a small group.

 

Sports Facilities Include:-

 

  • Full sized Astroturf

  • Extensive grass pitches

  • Tennis & Netball courts

  • Sports Hall

  • 25m indoor swimming pool

  • Shooting range

  • Riding stables & ménage

  • Climbing wall

  • Ricochet court

Activities

 

  • Activities offered vary from sporting activities to art , craft, intellectual and creative ones. They include origami, debating, school newspaper, strategy games, 3D printing, cooking and horse riding.

 

Leavers’ Programme (Year 8 only)

 

  • If your child is aged 12 or 13 and joining our Year 8, you have the option of allowing them to participate in our Leavers’ Programme. 

  • Please note, there is an extra cost of circa £300 for this.

  • The Leavers’ Programme includes:-

  • A residential surf week in Cornwall

  • Visit to Warwick Castle or Stratford-upon-Avon

  • Cycle ride or similar Challenge activity

  • Malvern Hills walk

  • Group art project

  • We have limited places available, if your child is not joining the Leavers’ Programme, they will join the Year 7 classes during this time and participate in usual lessons, activities, sports and trips.

What to bring – Short Stay Programme

 

Boys

  • 2 plain smart jumpers

  • 2 pairs of chinos or shorts

  • 2 shirts (long or short sleeved)

  • 4 pairs of socks

  • 2 pairs of pyjamas

  • 1 washbag with:- comb, flannel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo & shower gel

  • 3 bath towels

  • 1 pair of slippers

  • 1 dressing gown

  • 1 pair of school shoes

  • 1 pair of Wellington boots

  • 1 waterproof outdoor jacket

  • 3 sets of weekend clothes such as T-shirt, jeans and sweatshirt

Boys’ Games Kit

  • 2 pairs of navy shorts

  • 2 light blue polo style sports shirts

  • 2 pairs of sports socks

  • 1 navy tracksuit

  • 1 pair of indoor trainers

  • 1 pair of outdoor trainers

  • 1 pair of black swimming trunks

  • 1 pair of goggles

 

Girls

  • 2 plain jumpers or cardigans

  • 2 plain skirts in navy/green/grey/brown/black

  • 2 blouses (plain or patterned/striped)

  • 2 summer dresses in any colour (plain or patterned/striped) - optional

  • 4 pairs of navy blue socks

  • 2 pairs of pyjamas or nightdresses

  • 1 pair of slippers

  • 1 dressing gown

  • 1 washbag containing:-hairbrush, flannel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo & shower gel

  • 3 bath towels

  • 1 pair of school shoes

Girls’ Sports Kit

  • 2 pairs of navy blue games skorts (this is a cross between a skirt and shorts)

  • 2 light blue or white polo games shirts

  • 2 pairs white sports socks

  • 1 plain navy tracksuit

  • 1 pair of indoor trainers

  • 1 pair of outdoor trainers

  • 1 swimsuit

  • 1 pair of goggles

 

What to bring – Short Stay Programme

 

  • Please note, laundry is done on site on a daily basis, therefore please do not send your child with more than requested. 

  • You will see that we do not have a day uniform as such but have a smart dress code for all pupils and a separate games kit for sport.

  • All items, including shoes, must be clearly named.

 

Stationery

 

  • A pencil case containing; fountain pen, cartridges, pencil, coloured pencils, sharpener, eraser, ruler etc.  

 

Please note pillows, pillowcases, duvets and duvet covers are not necessary as the school will supply them.
